KING OF POP TO EXTEND TOUR FOR ABBERTON DATES [07/03/09 15:04:27]

Following Thursday's announcement to the world, pop icon Michael Jackson this afternoon delighted his many fans in Abberton and the surrounding villages by agreeing to extend his tour to enable him to accommodate three additional dates at The Brow in early August.

Although full details of the revised itinerary are not yet available it is expected that Jackson, still struggling to shrug off child molesatation claims, will play a Thursday, Friday and Saturday night at Abberton's cricket headquarters.

People involved in the deal say that now Jackson (pictured left) has decided to extend the tour, it would represent a significant step toward rehabilitating his shaky financial situation. His long-running legal saga drained much of his wealth but in an exlcusive interview granted to the website he said "Playing The Brow would be the icing on the cake. This will be my last tour, my very last tour, I will not be coming back."

Last year, Jackson's Neverland Ranch was almost repossessed to pay off some of his massive debts but it is understood that, in a secret deal with the ADCC Treasurer John Everett, Jackson would effectively swap residences with the much-malingned financial guru and also take on the various stewarding duties currently performed by Mr Everett.

It is anticipated that tickets for the concerts will go on sale at the start of the cricket season and fears from local residents over excessive noise from the event are being handled by the club's veteran Head of Security John Stockbridge.

The 69-year-old will have had his 70th birthday by the time of the concerts if the leaked schedule proves corrrect and strictly speaking should be enjoying his lucrative ADCC pension. However he is keen to stay on to assist where needed. "I have always been a fan of 'Whacko' he explained "and I never believed all of those rumours about him. I am sure there is a perfectly reasonable explanation for his behaviour".

On the subject's of Jackson's much-publicised 'nose job', Stockbridge was quick to leap to his defence. "There's quite a few people round here who could do with a nose job, one guy in particular springs to mind." Stockbridge, interviewed in his cosy Orchard Gardens flat, was fondly fondling his vinyl copy of 'Beat It' and admitted to harbouring hopes of replacing Vincent Price if Jackson decided to perform the title track of 'Thriller' on stage.
