Welcomed back at The Brow for a few weeks in 2009 after being a major force behind the club's resurgence when three successive promotions were won between 2005 and 2007, the last two seasons under his captaincy.
A fiery if wayward pace bowler with a continual overstepping problem, he claimed 90 wickets in his debut campaign and as a mid-order batsman, he enjoyed reasonable success.
