Antique wicket keeper and solid but limited lefthanded lower order batsman. A keen fieldsman when he is not behind the timbers.

One of only five to be ordained as a Pope at The Brow, his previous clubs include Parkside, Brantham, Colneside, Elmstead, Kelvedon, EAG and Royal London.

Remains the world record holder for the five run challenge and had his enthusiasm for the game rejuvenated in 2009 after selection for Essex over-50s.
