Congratulations to all-rounder Michael Abrey (pictured right) who ended the season as the leading bowler for the 2nd XI in the TCL Division Five.

His haul of 29 wickets for 371 runs from 129 overs made him a comfortable winner with an impressive average of 12.70 but what many may not have appreciated was that his economy of 2.87 runs per over was by far and away the tightest in the division.

Unfortnuately Abberton had no other player in the batting or bowling top tens in either Divisions One or Five; something we will be looking to put right in 2010.

Michael's prize is an all-expenses-paid two week holiday in the delightful Essex coastal resort of Jaywick. What a lucky chap!
