Cricketing achievements:  Scoring my first hundred at home v Real Oddies in June 2002; having Mark Ramprakash stand on my toes.

Best non-professional played with:  Callum Appleyard, Shaun Calladine.

Biggest cricketing influence:  Dad and Graham Gooch. If it wasn't for Dad I wouldn't have got involved with the club and we were always playing in the garden from an early age. I modelled my stance on Gooch with his high backlift and my first crickting memory is his 333 v Inida and the 1991 Test series v West Indies.

Favourite local ground:  Abberton.

Least favourite local ground:  The Great Horkesley Allotments; I never score runs there!

Favourite Abberton player:  Barry Rudlin

Three sporting legends:  Gary Lineker, Tony Cottee, David Moyes.

Other sports played: Football; I was a decent goalkeeper once. Non-playing pool captain.

Most memorable sporting moment:  Word Cup Italia 90 and the Ashes series in 2005.

Advice for young players: Enjoy every game; when you stop enjoying it, it is time to give up!!

Biggest fear in life:  Being outsprinted by an ADCC FB XI member.
