A conscientious opening batsman who doesn't take too kindly to being dismissed and holds the world record of taking five hours seventeen minutes and 43 seconds to reach the pavilion following a debatable lbw decision. Dependable gully fieldsman and occasional wicket keeper who displays a surprising degree of athleticism when tea is served.
Previously played for Prettgate and Elmstead; he once carried his bat for 2* when the team was humbled for 31.
Reached 300 appearances during the 2008 season and averages around three career retirements per season.
