Joined Abberton in 2007 having previously played locally for both Copford and St Osyth.

This hard hitting batsman can perform anywhere in the batting order but prefers to open the innings. Often described as somewhat 'agricultural' in style, it cannot be denied that a huge proportion of his runs seem to come through cow corner, a habit that has earned him the nickname 'Steve Cowshot'.

Wicket-keeper with an unenviable injury record, he is due for a hip replacement during the 2009/10 close-season.
