Steve Whitfield

LHB?/SLA Born: Colchester, 1971

A genuine ferret in any team (they are the ones that go in after the rabbits), the runs that he does acquire are rarely, if ever, in front of the bat.

His slow left arm offerings are delivered with considerable accuracy (described as niggling) and this has helped him accumulate well over 300 wickets since he joined the club from Elmstead.

A specialist fine leg fieldsman who throws like a very, very young girl. Also a budding naturist, he once again appears to have been at the cookie jar over the winter. One of the most injury prone members of the club.
